Community Events
The Garden City benefits from an active social scene and a wide variety of community events. From festivals to fun days there is always something going on, with the Foundation on hand to lend support and advice.
The Foundation's quarterly publication, Spotlight features well over 50 events and activities in every issue.
Every summer, the Garden City's open spaces come alive with Letchworth Arts Centre, Letchworth and Baldock Lions, Letchworth Arts and Leisure Group, the Town Centre Partnership and many others frequently organising fun filled family events.
As well as a supporting role, the Foundation also runs a number of big community events including:
- Heritage Open Days
- Get Involved - Voluntary Sector Fair
The First Garden City Heritage Musuem frequently run family events, with Plinston playing host to hundreds of community events each year. Events at Broadway Cinema always prove popular with 2008 behind the scenes tours fully booked in days forcing additional tours which also went onto to be fully booked.
