Subsidiary companies
The Heritage Foundation operates five businesses which fall outside its charitable status. Four are Companies Limited by Guarantee. One is a charitable Industrial and Provident Society [*] in its own right. All exist to ‘gift aid’ any surpluses back to the Heritage Foundation.

Partnerships with purpose
The Heritage Foundation collaborates with local stakeholder organisations to improve the Garden City.
It seeks to work closely with local authorities operating in Letchworth, notably North Hertfordshire District Council and Hertfordshire County Council. Indeed, both organisations are Governors of the Foundation and have places permanently reserved for their representatives on the Foundation’s Board of Management.
